Cooking and Candy making.

So this week lil man is defiantly back to his usual self. Though he still isn't sleeping through the night all the time. I think we got one night last week where it was a full 8 hours (but it was interrupted) and then last night we got a pretty good night of sleep. Hopefully it will go back to normal soon.

His first tooth is coming in good and the one next to it is now trying to come in. So he's been drooling more that normal. He has said mama but it's only when he cries. And he does alot of "huh". I guess that's part of his communicating. He really hasn't said much Dada since he came down sick. But I'm sure that he'll be back to saying it before too long.

He has also started cruising and getting up and down pretty good. Though he still hasn't mastered it just yet and still has some accidents but nothing too bad.

So, Saturday Daryn and I went to my mom's and dad's to do some baking for the holidays. I always make fudge for the guys at work and I had 5 batches to make and mom wanted to make some things to. By the time we did the fudge and worked on one of mom's recipes we were wore smooth out. So Daryn and I loaded back up and headed home.

Sunday we got around and went to Muskogee to have Daryn's picture made with Santa. Of coarse we didn't expect it to be an almost all day ordeal. Long story short we got there early and had to hang around. But we got the smile on the first flash and then the stranger set in. Then we went back home and I got caught up on the chores.

I have to work Mon, Tues & half a day Wednesday and then on Friday.
So, Wednesday we'll got to Inola and spend the night and then get up Thursday and go back to Checotah to granny and papas. That's all that's going on here. As soon as I get our new computer fixed I'll post some pictures. Promise!

Busy Weekend!

Well Daryn is finally getting over his cold and is slowly getting back to his normal self. And we are all getting better. We had a busy weekend. Granny and Papa Roark had their 50th wedding anniversary. Their party started at 2pm at the Checotah Community Center. It turned out really nice. I got the video completed and everyone enjoyed it. I'm glad.

After the anniversary party we had to go show the Dodge Intrepid just north of Bakers and Daryn went to stay with gma and gpa Florea. Which worked out cause my company party was there at Bakers that evening. While we where at the anniversary party I had several calls on the car. So once we showed it there I had another couple meet us up at Bakers and they ended up buying the car! I'm so glad it's gone. Now we just have to work on selling the Sonata. I'm sure it will take a little longer to sell.

So once we were left a foot at Bakers we enjoyed ourselves and hitched a ride to Max's Garage. Several co-workers showed up there to hang out. We had a blast and we all enjoyed our selves.

So, on Sunday we went to pick up lil man from my mom's and then we had to take him to my dad's so he could do Christmas there. They got him a new toy and some clothes and a snow suit. He has really enjoyed his new toy! The clothes were cute but still a little big. But he'll grow into them soon! Thats all for now.

First Cold and Tooth!!!

Well Sunday Daryn started to feel bad. After only getting a few hours of sleep Sunday night, come Monday Daryn was full blown sick. I dropped him off with the great grandparents with much hesitation. Finally Randy called me and said Daryn was not running fever but thought we should try to get in to see the Doctor. So I called and got him an appointment.

Once getting in and seeing the doc she advised Randy that he just had a cold and that he would feel bad for at least 14 days and would have a running nose up to 21 days. And that we couldn't do much for him. Just try to keep the snot sucked out and keep him up right. So for the last week that's all we have been doing.

I too have been sick and between Daryn I haven't been getting much sleep. Sure makes it hard to go to work!

Saturday morning I noticed Daryn's first tooth had finally broke through the gum. So far I'm the only one that has seen it. He won't let Randy look at it.

Randy got up this morning and was feeling cruddy. So, now I have to try to get both of the guys feeling better. Plus try to get things done around the house too. Sometimes there's just tooo much to do!!!!

However, I did manage to get away for a couple of hours to go to the laundry mat and get our laundry caught back up! Pretty bad when going to the laundry mat is a get away... LOL

One holiday down two more to go!!!

So, Thursday we went to Inola to Cindy and Kelly's house to eat lunch. Lunch was great. We got to see everyone and Daryn had fun as well.

We left there and went back to grandma and grandpa's house to take a nap and rest for the next event. After finally getting Mr. Daryn to sleep, we overslept for our next get together. Only by about an hour.

We went to my side of the family's dinner. My uncle had just gotten released from jail and it was a mission of his to get our family together for a holiday. See we haven't had a family get together in quite some time. Once we arrived at the banquet hall, I didn't see as many people as I thought I would. So, it was a little disappointing. However, it was nice to see the ones that did take the time out of their schedule to show up!! Mr. Daryn had lots more fun there too. So many other little ones there to play with.

Aunt Cheryl also needs a thanks because she did do a great job helping keep Daryn happy and content!

Well Friday we didn't do much. Randy, grandpa & Cheryl went deer hunting in chouteau. They didn't see anything. Mom, me and Daryn went a few places shopping. We ventured out to K-mart, Drysdales and Walgreens. We also stopped in to the Cracker Barrell to eat some lunch. I ordered a tea and once it arrived Daryn thought he needed some too. So I kept feeding it to him out of the straw. Once the food arrived I couldn't eat for having to keep him content with tea. So I finally got smart and filled a bottle with it. He really enjoyed it then! Daryn was a great sport to go shopping with. Considering all the wacko's shopping I really didn't think it was that great of an idea but went along with it anyways.

After we all got back the four of us packed up and went back home. Haven't done much of anything else this weekend.

Hope everyone's Thanksgiving was great! I know Eric and Lindsey's was good. They had their little girl that day! Congrats Lindsey, Eric and Abby!

Getting ready for the Holiday...

Last weekend we had a pretty boring weekend. We didn't have anything planned so I worked getting the laundry caught up and doing a little cleaning. It was the first weekend that we didn't have plans. It sure was nice to lounge around the house and get some rest. We have plenty of things coming up in the following weeks so we'll be pretty busy til probably after the first of the year.

We've got plans for this weekend. Next week is Thanksgiving and we're planning on going to Inola for lunch at Randy's aunt Cindy's house.

Then my uncle Marty is putting on dinner in Tulsa around five. So I guess we'll take Bubba to my mom's and just stay the night there. Looking forward to having Thanksgiving with my dad's side of the family it's been years since something like this has been planned. I remember when it was an every year thing and couldn't wait to hang out and play with all my cousin's. How times change. But maybe we can keep it going?

On the 5th I'm going to see Trace Adkins in concert at the BOK Center in Tulsa. My boss bought me tickets so I'm going to take my friend Tina. She just lost her father this weekend which the funeral will be tomorrow and her son is autistic, so I'm sure she could use a break and a night out on the town. I'm looking forward to it.

Then got to do some Christmas shopping at some point and then do the Christmas thing. I haven't decided yet if we're going to do our annual New Year's Eve party or not. Still need to do some thinking on that one.

Shopping

So, this weekend we didn't do a whole lot. I went shopping Saturday morning with granny, Cindy and Corey. We were trying to find all the party supplies for the 50th anniversary party. We did get the important stuff bought. And we had a good time. While we were in Muskogee my mom met up with us and took Daryn for the night. So he got to spend some time with the Florea's. Grandpa worked real hard on teaching him to say "mama". Though he hasn't said it yet it surely won't be long..... I hope.

Once I got back from shopping we hung out at Josh's house. We had a few drinks and just visited. We had a good time. However we did stay out pretty late. But we didn't have to pick Daryn up til noon.

So we made it up to Inola and picked up Daryn and went to have lunch with my family. Came home and watched the NASCAR race and took naps. I have feed Daryn and gave him a bath and he's off to bed.

We don't have many plans for the week just the usual and currently no plans for the weekend. I imagine we'll go out to eat or something for my birthday but that will probably be about it. Hope all is well with everyone and hope you enjoy keeping up with us.

Dickies 500

So this weekend we went to Texas to see the Dickies 500. We had a blast and I have posted pictures of the race on the left. Daryn stayed with his grandma and grandpa Bottger for the weekend. He had fun but was glad to see mom and dad. We were glad to see him too. It was the first time we have both been away at one time. It was nice to have some alone time. It doesn't come around tooo often. Anyways neither of our drivers did worth a darn so that was a little disappointing but that how it goes.

Update on Daryn he started to crawl last week. He's getting better and better everyday. He is also saying "dada". We're working on mama now.. He's been feeling a little under the weather the last couple of days so hopefully he'll get to feeling much better soon. I think it's do to his teeth but he could also have a bug. We'll see though, if he doesn't get better we'll take him to see Dr. Durr. He sure can get around in his walker. I think he has it mastered.

So, I'm going to go shopping with the girls this weekend so Dada is going to get to have some one on one time with little man. I'm sure they will enjoy their time together. That's all thats going on around here.

Halloween Party

We took Daryn to his first Halloween Party tonight. He went as Superman. Grandma Donna did a good job finding and altering his costume. We all had a great time at Tina and Billy's house.

We also went to a funeral as well this morning. Randy's grandpa Paul's sister Violet died last week. She lived in California and the family brought her body back here for the service and the burial. Randy seen and met lots of family.

So as you can see we had a very busy day. We are all wore out. Tommorrow probably won't be to slow either. We're suppose to go over to Charlotte and Bill's to help Bill put in a new wood burning stove. Then we're suppose to go over to the Roark's and visit with the company.
